It’s been a long time since I last posted something & Christmas has come and gone in a blink. So, I thought I’d do a little haul of what I got from Christmas and from the New Year sales for makeup and skincare, yes I know it’s a little late but Fuck it! Also, how have we all been and are we are sticking to our New Year resolutions, let me know in the comments and give this a like 😉
So Let’s Begin!…
I got a lot of makeup for Christmas and tbh I’m so glad as one was running low, so heres some products I got:
Christmas/festive season is literally my favourite time of year, especially at the moment when snow is falling, hot chocolate is flowing and cosy nights in by the fire buying too much makeup😂 So I’ve decided to do three makeup looks with three weeks-ish until the big day and this week I will be doing a cranberry glitter look on the eye and a warm flawless face with a popping highlight and red lip! Comment down below on what looks you’ll be doing for this festive season, if you like my look & what you’re all up to this season! If you’re down for knowing more about how to make this look carrying reading babes…
Christmas Look No1: A Cranberry Christmas…
I love this look it literally shouts CHRISTMAS & it’s so simple! It will look good on anyone and as long as you blend to the Gods with the eyeshadows its will look great. I started with my eyebrows – p.s don’t judge the eyebrows I haven’t had them done in ages and they are the pain of my life at the moment- I filled them in with the Soap & Glory 2 – in – 1 brow filling pencil & brushin brownie and concealed my around them and put the rest on my eye lid and blended with a sponge. I set my eyelid with some loose powder and begin the look with The Juvia’s place ‘The Saharan’ paletteand the colour Katsina as the transition colour using a Morphe M330 in windshield wiping motions through the crease. Then I packed on Jamila with an oval blending brush from a Morphe collection on to the Outer V and then packed on to the rest of the lid with Red Ochre fromAnastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette with the same brushand blended it all out lightly with the Morphe M330with Venetian Red from the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette.I then packed on the eyeshadow Bororo from The Juvia’s Place Palettewith a flat packing brush and a spray of Urban Decay Setting Sprayto make the shadow pop! Then just grab a small brush and a small amount of Red Ochre and just sweep it lower lash line close to the waterline connecting it to the Outer V. The Face:
The face has to be smooth, highlighted to the Gods & bronzed to give the face even more warmth. After I finished my eyes I wiped the excess from under my eyes and began with my foundation – a mix of Giorgio Armani luminous Silk foundation 02 & Make up Forever HD foundation R210 applied with the Real Techniques Sponge– damp. This mix of the two foundation really make the skin look flawless with a mixed matt- satin finish still allowing that glow to come from the skin. You can use a brush to apply this but I feel if you have dry skin it’s better to use a sponge. After this I apply my Tarte Shape Tape Concealerunder my eyes in a triangle, on my chin and in the centre of my nose with blending it out with the sponge in that order. I then set it with my trusted Laura Mercier Under-eye Brightening Powderon the sponge for my under eye to bake & a brush with the excess powder for the rest of the face. TIP: I let that settle in for a while then wipe off the excess from under my eye and face to give flawless finish. I then grab my Morphe M437 Pro Blender Contour Brush and my Kevyn Aucoin The Sculpting Powder in lightand lightly dust on to my cheek bone and temples to create a sculpted look! I then bronze my face more to give a warmer feel to the face with the Sleek Contour Compactbronzer into the hollows of my cheeks and around my face. I then set my face even more with the Urban Decay Setting Spray – which will set my face and get rid of the dusty powder look! Then I apply the highlighter from the Sleek Contour Compactto the highest points of the face and slay that look!
Another big part of this look is the lips! Berry lips are nothing new, but always needed to make a classic winter & festive look. As you can probably tell from my other posts I’m obsessed with long lasting lipsticks and one of my absolute favourite brands is Jeffree Star Cosmetics Velour Liquid Lipstickand for this look it’s the colour Designer Blood. It such a lightweight formula and gives a gold sparkle on top of the berry lips. Just love it!
Well I hope you enjoyed this post today & please comment, like, follow and share! Comment if you like this post, if you’re looking forward to next weeks and what you’re up to on your blog.

I got all the pictures off Google Images except for the Nugg product picture, which was off Beautybay.com
Hi beauty babes and bloggers this week it’s all about Morphe!!! As you saw in one of my previous blogs I reviewed their new 15D Day Slayer Eyeshadow Palette and honestly I loved it for the price I got it for and for how simple it is to use everyday. So, this week I’m going to go further into the palette talk about a look I have created using the palette and the pros and cons that I’ve found out through using it more. I hope everyone is doing great and have enjoyed the deals of Black Friday and Cyber Monday & If you’re new I hope you enjoy today’s post + check out my older blogs all about makeup/skin care!
The Everyday Golden Shimmer For The Festive Period:
So for my look I went for golden, dusty warm colours to create a slight halo eye from the palette starting with the eyeshadow called Naturaland used a MorpheM330 Blending Crease Brushto work it into my crease and then used the Morphe M501 Pointed Blender Brush to make sure it was nice and even blend. I then went into Upbeat with the same brushes in the same order but, on the Outer V and Inner corner to build up the smokey golden eye & once that’s blended I pack a little more on the Outer V to give more definition to the look. Then with a Morphe M124I packed on the Outer V the colour Define and angled it with a flicking motion carefully outwards and blended it out with the Morphe M501 brush. I then went back over my whole crease with my transitioning colour of Natural to even the whole look and make it look completely blended and that was with the Morphe M330 brush to make sure none of it went on the lid. I then used my finger to apply the colour Highlight , a more shimmery shade of palette as it didn’t go onto my brush so well, even when I used setting spray, and it made it pop and look flawless. It’s such a beautiful look for fall/winter & for everyday in the lead up to christmas. TIP:If you got glitter glue then use this underneath and it would make it sparkle even more.
Pros of the Palette:
This palette has many pros – one is the price! I brought this palette from Morphe for only £18 with shipping and that’s bloody good considering you get 15 shades, good mirror and a hard case to take with you travelling. The shadows themselves are creamy, except I’ve noticed one called Sweet, I felt it blend as well as the others, it could be because it’s a darker shade I don’t know but it’s one shade. Also, I love how the shades of the palette will suit everyone for an everyday look or a bit of a christmassy look & that it comes in a night form with more plum colours! There is fall-out, but hardly anything from what I’ve experienced it was really clean under my eyes and I always put eyeshadow on first just incase, but in this case I would’ve done my foundation first because it was fine. Overall, I really enjoyed using this palette and yes compared to my Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette – which is flawless – it doesn’t compare but that’s over £40 so this is really good for the price and for learners I would suggest getting it!
Cons of the Palette:
The one thing that stresses me out about the palette is that some of the eyeshadows aren’t as pigmented as the others, I mean I know a lot are light warm browns but sometimes they need to be built up and sometimes a gal ain’t got the effort to do it! But most have good pigment. Another thing which can be annoying is that there isn’t a brush that comes with it, so if you haven’t got brushes then this could cause you a problem. One last pet peeve is the case, I mean I love that it has a hard back and it’s black, but it could get dirty. Other than all that I really like the palette and overall would recommend it to people, especially people who are just discovering makeup and want to learn how to make those smokey eyes and people who want an everyday palette this is GREAT!
Also, I want to mention the brushes I used – M330, M501 & M124 from Morphe – honestly I really enjoyed using these brushes except I found that the M501 did become scratchy after blending for a while, but for the price and how well they blended the shadow I was impressed.
Well that’s it for this weeks blog, sorry it’s a little late I’ve been super busy once again. I’d love to know if you liked the blog this week and if you want me to do more reviews on different brands I enjoy and ones I don’t down in the comment box! We all love a good deal and this year it seems all the big companies are trying to catch our eye with the Black Friday deals, but which ones are the best when it comes to makeup and skincare you ask?… Well that’s where I come in! If you’re obsessed with makeup, skincare and great deals then keep on reading as today I’m going to tell you where to go!
So the first place I’ll start is makeup, as most people ask for makeup for christmas or just as a gift and a lot of the time it’s hard to get quality makeup for a good deal. There is a range of places that are offering great deals, one of my personal favourites is BeautyBay, as they have a wide selection of up and coming brands at great offers. On Sunday I received an e-mail from them telling me that EVERYTHING, yes I did say EVERYTHING was on sale up to 30% off and that every single day certain hot products would go up to 50% off, including ABH products and other high end brands… I was SHOOK! So, I went on to the website and ordered some stuff i’ve been waiting to go down, such as the Jeffree Star Cosmetics Velour Liquid Lipsticks in colours I’m nude and Calabasasonly £11.20 each down from £16.00 and ordered a little present being the Androgyny Palette only £28.00 from £40.00. Now, I know for some people £11.20 or £28.00 is still a lot of money, which I agree with but I feel the products are worth paying for myself. I also looked at other products on offer and honestly I was impressed, for example Jouer Cosmetics had some really good deals, especially their foundation plus Juvia’s Place had some really good deals, for example The Nubian 2 Eyeshadow Palettehad gone down from £30.00 to £18.00. They also did good deals on skincare, but I personally buy most of my skincare from The Body Shop or Boots so I didn’t look in detail, but I know it was up to 30% off everything including skincare so if you do get some skincare off their website go for it!
Every year Boots does a great range of gifts on the 3 for 2 deal, which is brilliant, but this year I feel like they have really took on that makeup for gifts is what the people want! I have seen many gifts from Real Techniques, such as the Real Techniques Bold Metals Spotlight Essentials which is £40.00 and is included in the 3 for 2 offer as well & I’ve seen an increase in Sleek gift sets, such as the Sleek Makeup Ready to Party gift setwhich is now half price at £25 with 9 full sized products to make that ultimate party look! I’ve also been impressed with their skincare gift products, as not many online or high street stores do gift sets for makeup, especially high end and drug store, for example they are offering Liz Earle Smoothly Does itfor £42.00 down from £70.00. Also, they’ve been doing a triple points event at the same time, which is great because once you’ve spent all that money on presents you can treat yourself with your points – well worth it!
Another high street company that we all know & love! Again, I got an e-mail off them to let members know that there will be 60% off on a lot of makeup products and people with a Health & Beautycard could access the Black Friday offers now. Superdrug does one of my favourite drugstore makeup brands, Makeup Revolution and this year they have many gifts out for christmas, for example they have the Makeup Revolution 12 Days Of Christmas 2017 gifts for members only £30.00 down from £60.00 and contains a selection of different makeup products from eyeshadows to lipsticks to setting sprays! Also, if you’re a Real Techniques fan they are offering a great deal of the Real Techniques Selfie Ready Makeup Brush set for £30.00 down from £65.00 for a Black Friday deal for members only, which includes four face brushes, four eye brushes and a pouch expert organiser. They’ve got some good deals on skincare for Black Friday, one that caught my eye is the Le Roche-Posay Effaclar 3- Step Anti-Blemish Kit that is normally £32.00 but for Black Friday it’s now £19.99 and it has five star rating on the website and I would suggest if you have really oily skin and acne prone skin.
Well I hope you found that helpful with the Black Friday offers and where the best are for makeup and skincare, I’m sure there will be more for Cyber Monday – let me know in the comments if you want me to do a blog for the best deals for Cyber Monday & if you enjoyed this blog! I hope everyone has a great and not too manic Black Friday and gets good deals.

I also work for Boots as a Customer Assistant, but this is in no way biased towards the brands at Boots or the deals.
Hey guys, sorry I’m back a little later than normal this week, but I’ve got an update on my skincare routine. ☺️ How have you guys been and have you updated your skincare routine for winter yet let me know in the comments! If you haven’t here are some new tips!
So I still use my Cetaphil cleanser in the morning and to take my makeup off and use my Good things exfoliator three times a week as they just work! But I’ve started trying a different cleanser to see if it does as good, trying out retinol serums to try and improve acne scarring & using a spot treatment. Keep reading to find out…
So, the new cleanser I’ve been trying out is the Philosophy Purity Made Simple One Step Facial Cleanser which is a lot more expensive than the Cetaphil, but if it does better then it’s worth it ! Honestly, I love this product and from just one week of using it I can say if you have dry skin it won’t dry you out and is so gentle. I’d even go to say it’s more gentle than the cetaphil, but is it as good and worth the price?… Well I think I will be sticking with Cetaphil , as for the price I feel the Cetaphil is very good and does a really good job for half the price really! However, if you fancy treating yourself to a more high end cleanser and you have dry skin, who is finding it hard to find a gentle cleanser then go for it!
Another thing I’ve been trying out this week is the Regenacalm 2% Retinol and Vitamin C Serum. I’ve been looking for a retinol serum as I’ve heard it helps with acne scarring and my skin is acne prone/dry skin that gets cystic acne so leaves a lot of scares and after I read all the reviews I had to try it. I mean I haven’t seen my scars fading over night but my complexion looks a lot more even and skin just feels nice! I will continue using this and I do think it’s worth the price, never had this sort of experience where a product works within a week. Go & try it out as it gets a thumbs up from me. 👍🏻
The last thing that I’ve tried out this week is the Mario Badescu Drying Lotion for the spot that just won’t leave after trying tea tree lotion etc,. Honestly, it got to the point this cystic spot wouldn’t go down after about a week of trying to get it gone so I orders the lotion after hearing good things and the amazing reviews on Beautybay.com and it bloody worked! So amazed nothing else did it, by the morning it had reduced and by the next day it had gone 😳😳 so worth £16 and you don’t need a lot of it so it will last! MIRACLE WORKER !!!
That’s it for this week and I hope you enjoyed it & found a few products to try out! Give this a like and follow my blog for once a week post on all thing makeup and skincare! 💄☺️
>All photos come from Google Images.
Hi guys, this week I’ve been buying makeup, makeup and more makeup… I know it’s an addiction! So I thought I’d share what I thought of the products and if they’re going to be a big hit! So let’s get started…
This eyeshadow palette has just come at the right time of the year with all its natural browns and shimmers – great for autumn! I love how creamy the eyeshadows are and for the price you really can’t moan, especially asMorphe has stepped it up with a good sized mirror in the palette. The packaging is also great, like it’s so different and shows that it’s a collection. I think this will be a hit with people this season and especially with christmas around the corner it would be a great stocking filler!
The L’Oreal Paradise Mascara is a late addition to my makeup collection, this is because I’ve been obsessed with the Soap&Glory HD mascara but this has got me to change to L’Oreal. The brush reminds me of the Yves Saint Laurent Faux mascara but for a lot cheaper price for the same outcome! Honestly give it a go, it looks like you’ve got fake lashes on but without the heaviness.
This high coverage foundation is one of the new products on the market & it’s well worth the £34.00, even if it is nearly half the product you normally get from the average foundation. Honestly, you only need one pump of foundation to cover your face fully covered and looking flawless, the only downside is there isn’t enough colours for everyones skin tones and a lot have been sold out because of the demand. If you’re looking for a new foundation and wanting that full glam coverage then go for this foundation.
The new Maybelline x Gigi Hadid lipsticks has literally just dropped on to the scene and I’m loving the east coast selection, as they’re just the most amazing nude shades and there is one for everyone. I think these little beauties are going to be a big hit and the west coast selection of reds will be great too especially for them christmas parties. I’ve had a look at the rest of the collection and didn’t feel I needed anything but it was nice and the nude colour of the packaging is really classy and nice. Go & try it out guys.
That’s it for this post, I hope you’ve enjoyed it and go & try out the products! Speak to you soon beauties.
Hey beauties, I’ve been ill recently equalling boredom setting in so I’ve decided to do a post a lil’ early! Foundation is something I can’t live without and getting the right one with all the different ones on the market is hard! So hopefully this will help you out, whether you’re on a budget or like to spend your money on high-end makeup!💋
N0.1 Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Foundation:
Okay, so this foundation has been around for a while, but it’s a classic favourite if you’re wanting a full coverage fabulous face. Make Up For Ever ‘Ultra HD’ Foundation comes in a range of different colours for every skin tone – which is great as a lot of companies only do a couple of tones – while it gives the face a flawless medium to full coverage finish. I find it great on different skin types, oily skin people will just need to set it more with powder in their most oily places on the face. TIP:When applying the foundation I love using either a makeup brush such as the Morphe M439 or the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion sponge as they provide an airbrushed finish and the coverage we all want; FULL!
N0.2 L’Oreal Paris True Match Foundation:
This foundation is one for my boys and gals who are on a budget and want that full coverage without paying ridiculous prices. Honestly, I found out about this makeup when I ran out of my Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk foundation and needed something just like it, but cheaper and little more coverage than medium. This is the perfect dupe and to be honest I think it’s a little better for the price you pay for it and it lasts all day – perfect for dry skin! If you have oily skin I still think you could buy this foundation, but you will need to set it to heaven because it’s got a dewy finish. Again, I would use the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion sponge because it goes on thick, so the sponge will take the excess which you don’t need – TIP: Oily skin people use a sponge dry as it will give you a matte finish!
N0.3 Dior Diorskin Forever Fluid Foundation:
The Diorskin Forever Fluid foundation comes in 19 shades (not enough) and is excellent for my normal to oily skin gals and boys, as the finish is a matte finish that lasts 16 hours according to Dior. I don’t know if it lasts that long, but it lasts a heck of a long time on sister who has very oily skin and she works a hectic job for about 8 hours a day and she still slays at the end of the day. I wouldn’t recommend this for dry skins, as I’ve tried it and it sticks to my dry patches no matter how much moisturiser I’ve put on. TIP: Apply with a foundation brush, I’d suggest either a flat brush or buffer brush to get maximum coverage and flawless finish. A great option for oily skin and normal skin!
N0.4 Jouer Cosmetics Essential High Coverage Creme Foundation:
I love this new foundation !!! It’s new, but an essential for everyone who wants to be a full coverage babe. You only need one pump and it gives you full flawless face, yet it’s so lightweight – Beautiful! I would recommend this matte foundation for most skin types, as I’ve tried it and I’ve got dry skin and loved it, as it has hydrating ingredients and you can just moisturise your skin a little more because honestly it’s so worth it! Plus I think the matte look is making a come back in the winter time! All I would say is that Jouer Cosmetics brand needs to add more colours to pick from as it was hard to tell from online which would go best with my pale, fair skin.
Well I couldn’t leave out this beauty could I?… This has full coverage in the title – ‘double wear’ I mean it literally doesn’t move! But, this is a heavy consistency and you will know you have foundation on your face, however I would use this if you’re going out on a night out as it will last all night without budging. Estēe Lauder foundation I would recommend to oily skin people as you won’t really see any oils coming through, however for people with dry skin it will be too much for your skin and dry patches will be endless. TIP: Remember to moisturise before putting this foundation on, even if you’re oily as it’s really thick on the skin, also remember to double cleanse the skin when taking off,as it can cause acne as it will clog your pores!
TIP:Set your full face with powder and setting spray to keep your flawless, full look on all day and night 😉
That’s it for this post, I hope you enjoyed it and that it’s helped you decide which foundation would be great for you and your skin type. If you did like it give this post a like and leave a comment! Speak to you soon.
Hi guys, this week’s post is all about fabulous face masks! Over the past few months I’ve been trying all different face masks to see if they do what they say! Also, I’ve been talking to people with all different skin types to see what masks work for them, as I have dry/blemished skin.
Oily skin can be really difficult to control and many people who have oily skin struggle with blemishes, so a great skin care routine can help reduce blemishes occurring and control oils. Face mask are one of the quickest and easiest ways to help control oils and stop blemishes. There are many face masks for oily skin or blemished skin types including Boots Tea Tree & Witch Hazel Peel mask & Montagne Jeunesse 7th Heaven Black Seaweed Peel Mask. Both products really help remove all the dirt from your pores and gets off the dead skin and are both cheap products to help those on a budget.
Sensitive /Normal Skin:
Sensitive/ normal skin types are hard to find masks for as to be honest normal skin is rare and sensitive skin is hard to find face masks for that won’t affect the skin. However, there are some masks that are on the market, including Aloe Protective Restoring Mask from The Body Shop which is great for sensitive or normal skin as it helps nourish and restore the skin.
Okay guys that’s it for this weeks blog: short & sweet! I hope you’ve gained some information about face masks and which ones are great for each skin type and go & try some out! I hope you like them as much as me.
As you can see this is a simple warm eye colour with a pop of gold sparkle to the centre of the eye. First, I concealed my patients eyes with the Tarte Shape Tape Contour Concealer and set it with my Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Under Eye Powder as it covers any discolouration and makes applying shadows easier and they stay on longer. My patient has slightly hooded eyes, so I decided to do a soft and gentle transitional colour with a mix of Golden Ochre, Burnt Orange from the Anastasia Beverly Hills ‘Modern Renaissance Palette’ and Katsina from Juvia’s Place ‘The Saharan Palette’ which gives the beautiful warm, soft brown. I applied this to the crease of the eye with a Morphe M330 and blended it out with this and another Morphe brush that is very similar. Tip: To have a flawless finish the best tip is to BLEND,BLEND & BLEND!
I then turned to my Tarte – Shape Tape concealer to create half a cut crease using my Morphe concealer brush fromSet 681 – 18 Piece Sable brush set then let it settle in for a minute and then set it with a loose powder that you have. Finally the part where I get to talk about SHIMMER & GLITTER eyeshadow! Well my beauties I decided to use my Juvia’s Place ‘The Saharan Palette’ for this beautiful golden white shimmer, the two shades I used were called Senegal and Zoya. Senegal – a bright shimmering gold and Zoya – a bronzing peach/gold. Both beautiful on the lid but I would use your fingers with the shimmer as brush applications didn’t show the pigment on the lid, even when I wet my brushes with my setting spray. Also, within the centre of my lid I decided I wanted more of a pop, so I decided to use the Iman shade from the palette – TIP: only pick up the tiniest amount of product on finger as CAUTION: IT’S PIGMENTED ! Lastly, I put some of the Iman shade on her brow bone and on her inner corner, which made this look! Honestly, warm browns are so beautiful and flawless and the sparkle of gold adds something festive to an everyday look.
> I didn’t put any eyeliner on the eye but I think a black or brown eyeliner would look great, as the black would give you more of an edgy vibe and the brown would give you a subtle vibe for an everyday look. Also, I didn’t put mascara on my patients eye as I wanted you to see the eyeshadow.
The Second Eye Look – Dusky rose petal:
For my second look today I decided to create a simple dusky rose petal look with a cut crease for you more subtle gals and boys! I began with putting concealer on the lid of my eye and blended that in with a Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge (damp). I then set that with some powder – I think we all know by now which one i.e Laura Mercier where you at! This is when the real creation can begin. I grabbed my NYX Professional Makeup Ultimate shadow palette – warm neutrals – TIP: It’s a great dupe for the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette – and my makeup brushes – Morphs 681 – 18 Piece Sable Brush set & Real Techniques Starter Set 1406 to blend to the Gods!! I started by using the two shades on the second row on the left hand side and blended with a windscreen wiper motion into the crease and on the outer corner. I place these with a Morphe M330 and afterwards blend with a clean blending brush from the Real Techniques collection. I then go back to my palette with my Morphe M330 brush and lightly dip the brush into the third row last cherry colour and the darker plum colour and pack this into the outer corner and blend into the crease with the Real Techniques brush. Once you are blended to heaven and back – literally takes me around 15mins blending – then get your concealers to the ready!
Get a little amount of the concealer on the back of your hand and grab the small detail brush from the Morphe set and gently pat in the concealer on the lid of your eye going up to your crease. TIP: DON’T BLINK – Just close the eyes for about a minute or two. Then grab some powder and place it on to the crease to set it, then you should see a difference between the lid space – white – and the crease – berry/plum colours. I then get another detail brush, but from the Real Techniques set and grab some of them darker plums/reds and put them into the crease to create more definition and blend with a clean crease brush to really have a smooth, silky, subtle look!
Lip Look – Pumpkin spice autumn nights:
Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipsticks are one of my favourite liquid lipsticks as they are not too drying on the lips and stay on the lips all day so you can SLAY! Pumpkin Spice here is a great colour for this time of year and I would wear this with my first eyeshadow look to make the look glisten to the Golden Gods!
Lip Look – Blood Red Leaves
This beautiful Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick ‘Unicorn Blood’ is a classic for this time of year, especially with Halloween around the corner! The berry red will go great with both looks, but I love it with the first golden look as it sets it off!
Lip Look – Berry Nude
And of course the more gentle, yet glittery by Mac cosmetics called ‘Holiday crush’. It’s the perfect in between nude and shimmer with the classic pink undertones that will suit most skin tones and will go with my second look the most !!
Okay honeybees that’s it for this weeks post, I hope you enjoyed it & next week I will be doing a blog about skincare. Speak to you soon!

For my first blog I thought I would start off by introducing my self through my skin type and the way to make makeup glow with dry skin. I will be telling you step by step how to get Glowing to the Godsskin, from the first simple steps in skincare to the last sweep of that highlight brush.
First Step: Skincare
Skincare is the most essential step in making that flawless makeup look. The first step is to Wash Your Hands – this is very important because even when you wake up your hands have bacteria on them and putting your cleanser on to them will just spread more bacteria over your face. Once you’ve washed your hands you can begin! Dry skin needs to be cleansed and have exfoiliation with gentle products, for a gentle cleanser I would recommend the Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser – 236ml which is very nice for sensitive skin ,dry skin and as it’s non-comodgenic it’s also great for people who also have acne. Cleanse your skin twice a day – once in the morning and once in the evening. In the past I had really bad acne I over used tea tree oils and face washes with it, lets just say it dried out my face completely because I didn’t know how to use it probably and I didn’t know that face washes with it are mainly for oily skins. So a little tip – actually get to know your skin type and then it will be easier to know what skincare is right for you. Right, back to the products and the next thing to talk about is Exfoliation! For dry, younger skin this should be done once to twice a week and for the more matured woman this should be done around three times a week with a gentle exfoliator, such as the Good Things Range which is an online site that produce gentle and natural but effective skin care. For teenagers with dry skin and blemishes or even suffering with blackheads I would recommend Deep Clean Blackhead Exfoliator this really helps get rid of dull, dry skin into silky smooth skin with less blackheads and smaller pores. And for women of a more mature age I would suggest Good Clean Fun Freshening Polish to help bring back moisture levels into balance and smooth skin with radiance.
After these steps in skincare it’s onto Moisturising the skin. It’s important for everyone with any skin type to moisturise, but especially for those dry skin gals and boys, this is because moisturising the skin helps maintain the skins balance and therefore reduces the chances of problematic skin. Also, for us moisturising starts the base of glowing to the gods and I would suggest if you have really dry skin then to use not just a moisturiser but a serum as this goes deeper than a moisturiser. Products I recommend for extreme dry skin and just dry skin is the Vitamin E Cream & Moisturiser For Dry Skin ,the Vitamin E SPF 30 Day Lotion and the Vitamin E Daily Serum but they seemed to have stopped selling it at the moment but try other websites; but honestly these products have really helped my skin become so smooth and ready for makeup without any dry patches (MIRACLE). Another moisturiser that is very nice and cheaper for people who are on a budget (isn’t everyone?) is Simple Kind to Skin Hydrating Light Moisturiser 125ml this moisturiser gives a lightweight but effective rehydrating layer of moisture which is great for dry skin. After you have prepped the skin you can leave it there if you don’t want to put on makeup, but if you do then I suggest letting the moisturiser settle into your skin for about 5 to 10 minutes and BEGIN!
Second Step: MAKEUP, MAKEUP& More MAKEUP
“Makeup, Makeup & More Makeup” basically what I say when I get paid every month, because seriously makeup is what gives young girls and boys confidence when they have spots or when they want to be creative it gives them opportunities to show people who they really are.
So, lets begin doll faces with the Foundationand which ones are right for dry skin boys and gals. The Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation is such a great foundation for dry skin it literally gives ‘luminous silk’ skin that actually looks natural, the coverage is about medium but you can build it up and you don’t really need a powder to set it as for me it just sets by itself. However, if you like a light cover of powder then I would suggest Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder as it’s a light loose powder that is brilliant for under the eyes once concealed and a light dust around the face sets it lovely for dry skin without dry patches appearing. A dupe for the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation is the L’Oreal Paris True Match Foundation 30ml which comes in a range of colours and honestly I can’t tell the difference between the two, except that the Giorgio Armani foundation seems a little bit more luminous honestly that’s it and its great if you just want an everyday glow without the expensive price tag. TIP: If you have dry skin I would use a damp beauty blender or Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge to blend out the foundation. Once the foundation is laid down then lets conceal and highlight to make your face look even more radiant and FLAWLESS!
Concealer is very individual, but lets be honest we all want to cover up to be flawless and fabulous, so I would suggest Tarte Shape Tape Contour Concealer to get your faced snatched and slaying all day long. This is something I use a lot and have noticed that if you used too much of it at one time then it can become a little dry but you literally only need a spot under each eye and that’s enough. If you want something not as expensive but can do a very good job at covering up imperfections and dark circles then the Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer or Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer both are great concealers’ that give a little more hydration. After this I would put the concealer under the cheek bone and then blend to give a sharper and more defined cheek bone with that powder with the product I’ve suggested. You might be thinking you look a bit flat faced but don’t worry it’s about to get interesting.
Bronzing & Contouring; one of my favourite parts of makeup, as this is when the look comes together, but I’ve noticed that on the market there isn’t many shades of contour or bronzer for the real fair or dark skin tones on the high street. However, The Sculpting Contour Powder by Kevyn Aucoin Beauty is brill for contouring for all skin tones and they have palettes for contour with even darker and lighter contour shades, which for the money last for ages – honestly worth the money! If you like to just use bronzer or with contour I would recommend a bronzer with a little shimmer in to give you more of a glow, for example Barry M Glow Bronzer 15g which is a nice gentle bronzer and good for the fairer skin and darker skin as it gives a nice shimmer. I would use a blush with this if you want it to look more natural and more sharp. TIP: If you want to bronze up your eyes too then you can always use the bronzer on your eyes for the more natural look or add it with a more smokey look on the eye with the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Eyeshadow Palette with the darker shades in the palette or with the dupe NYX PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP Ultimate shadow palette – warm neutrals. TIP: Use eyeshadow to fill in and carve out your brows. After completing the eyeshadows finish the eyes off with a mascara that’s going to lengthen and thicken the eyelashes, for example Yves Saint Laurent Volume Effect Faux Cils Luxurious Mascara or Soap & Glory Thick and Fast HD Mascara both brilliant to give you what a mascara should; confidence and slaying the game!
Setting that fierce face; Okay ladies and gents to keep all that hard work in place you will need a setting spray and of course because we have a dry face we need something that’s going to give it a look of hydration but keep it in place. Products I recommend would be the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray I mean this product is a must for everyone as it’s quick and simple to use with it keeping your slap on all day and night. Another product which I recommend would be NYX Professional Makeup Setting Spray – Dewy Finish/Long Lasting this is a lot cheaper but honestly does a great job at keeping your makeup on and staying fresh.
Okay are you ready… HIGHLIGHTER, HIGHLIGHTER AND MORE HIGHLIGHTER! Honestly, a highlighter gives so much more of a POP after setting your face and spraying your fan brush with setting spray to GLOW TO THE GODS! Highlighters are all over the market but let’s get real some have much of a powder base or some are too blinding to have on the face, so here are my favourites for a natural glow and to also blind from the cheek bones: Sleek Makeup Face Contour Kit – with this you get two in one & Jeffree Star Cosmetics Skin Frost you’ll literally die for these and there’s a Skin Frost for every skin tone. TIP: Put on the highest points of the face, inner eye, Cupid’s bow and to glow even more put on the body such as your collar bones.
Lips; I think lips are my favourite thing for me as they come last on my makeup routine and I think they complete the look. For this glowing look I would put on a nude lipstick that is hydrating and have a shimmer to them, such as Maxfactor colour elixir lipstick which are just so comfortable and luminous on the lips.
Well that’s it guys, I hope you liked my first blog and keep an eye out for another one soon, I think I’ll be doing one once a week about the best makeup and skincare and different looks. By the way this is just my opinion on which skin care and beauty products people with dry skin should use from my own experience it may not work with you as everyone is individual & if you have severe acne please speak to a dermatologist first as products may increase the acne.
